Why we like the Almond mushroom (ABM - Agaricus blazei Murril) -Liquid extract (alcohol-free) by Glückspilze

The ABM liquid extracts are produced with a unique, specially developed process. This innovative manufacturing technology sets the products apart from other mushroom preparations. Because with this new technology, all organic and inorganic active ingredients of the mushrooms can be extracted and concentrated in liquid form for the first time. This results in a holistic mushroom extract of the highest quality.

The powder extracts available up to now are pure hot water extracts and only contain the water-soluble mushroom ingredients, i.e. mainly the polysaccharides. Other valuable substances, which have lipophilic character, such as water-insoluble triterpenes and fat-soluble vitamins, are missing in the conventional powder extract.

The liquid extracts, on the other hand, contain not only polysaccharides and peptidoglycans but also many other valuable organic substances found in Hericium mushrooms. These include essential amino acids, triterpenes, minerals (Ca, P, Na, K) and trace elements (Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Se), as well as vitamins (Ergosterol - a precursor of vitamin D2).

The new formula also improves bioavailability, i.e. how well the active ingredients contained in the extract can be absorbed and utilized by the body. The innovative manufacturing process results in a product that allows the entire spectrum of active substances in the mushrooms to be ideally absorbed by the body in a highly concentrated liquid form.

The ABM mushrooms are grown on certified raw materials, which come 100% from organic farming, and are gently dried after harvesting to preserve the ingredients as much as possible.

The next step is alcoholic extraction. Only pure organic ethanol is used as the extraction agent, distilled from organically grown grain. This extraction step takes several days, the alcohol-soluble ingredients are dissolved from the mushrooms.

Then the mushrooms are filtered and prepared for the next extraction step. The alcohol from the extract is evaporated by distillation, so that the final product is alcohol-free.

In the next step, the remaining mushrooms are extracted with water, During this process, the water-soluble substances are extracted from the mushroom material.

At the end of the production process, the two extracts are combined and homogenized with plant-based organic glycerin from sunflower seeds.

Glycerin is a completely body-friendly substance that envelops the vitamin and mineral molecules and prevents quality defects from affecting the active ingredients during storage. In addition, glycerin supports absorption, so that valuable active ingredients can also be absorbed in the case of intestinal problems and it gives the liquid extract a pleasant taste.

The Agaricus blazei Murrill is originally native to the rainforest of Brazil. This particular vital mushroom has been known to the Brazilian indigenous people for a long time, which is why it is called "Cogumelo do Sol" (Sun Mushroom), "Cogumelo da Vida" (Life Mushroom), or even "Cogumelo de Deus" (Mushroom of God) depending on the region.

The almond mushroom has a particularly balanced concentration of vitamins, valuable minerals, proteins and amino acids, as well as a high proportion of polysaccharides. Not only these components, but also its characteristic almond aroma make the Agaricus blazei Murrill a high-quality edible and vital mushroom. Nutritional studies mention the Agaricus subrufescens as a non-animal source of conjugated linoleic acids (CLA - conjugated linoleic acid), consisting of a combination of trans and (much more) cis isomers.
