Why we like the Cordyceps sinensis liquid extract (alcohol-free) from Glückspilze.

Cordyceps sinensis liquid extracts are produced using a unique, specially developed process. This novel manufacturing technology sets the products apart from other mushroom preparations. This is because, for the first time, this new technology allows all the organic and inorganic active ingredients of the mushrooms to be extracted and concentrated in liquid form. This results in a holistic mushroom extract of the highest quality.

The powder extracts available up to now are pure hot water extracts and contain only the water-soluble fungal constituents, i.e. mainly the polysaccharides. Other valuable substances, which are lipophilic in character, such as poorly water-soluble triterpenes and fat-soluble vitamins, are missing in the conventional powder extract.

The liquid extracts, on the other hand, contain polysaccharides and peptidoglycans, as well as many other valuable organic substances found in Hericium mushrooms. These include essential amino acids, triterpenes, minerals (Ca, P, Na, K) and trace elements (Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Se), as well as vitamins (ergosterol - a precursor of vitamin D2).

The new formula also improves bioavailability, i.e. how well the active ingredients contained in the extract can be absorbed and used by the body. The novel and innovative manufacturing process results in a product with which the entire spectrum of active ingredients of the mushrooms can be ideally absorbed by the body in highly concentrated liquid form.

The Cordyceps sinensis mushrooms are grown on certified raw materials, 100% of which come from organic farming, and are gently dried after harvesting in order to preserve the ingredients as much as possible.

The next step is the alcoholic extraction. Only pure organic ethanol is used as the extraction agent, distilled from organically grown grain. This extraction step takes several days, and the alcohol-soluble ingredients are released from the mushrooms.

Then the mushrooms are filtered off and prepared for the next extraction step. The alcohol from the extract is evaporated by distillation so that the final product is alcohol-free.

In the next step, the remaining mushrooms are extracted with water, during this process the water-soluble substances are dissolved from the mushroom material.

At the end of the production process, the two extracts are combined and homogenized with organic vegetable glycerin from sunflower seeds.

Glycerin is a completely body-friendly substance that surrounds the vitamin and mineral molecules and prevents quality defects from affecting the active ingredients during storage. Glycerin also aids absorption, allowing valuable active ingredients to be absorbed even if there are intestinal problems, and it gives the liquid extract a pleasant taste.

About Cordyceps sinensis mushroom

Scientists of our time have analyzed its ingredients and confirmed numerous effects. In addition to vitamins and trace elements, the caterpillar fungus contains essential amino acids and high-quality polysaccharides.

Moreover, ingredients such as cordycepin, ophicordin and galactomannan make this mushroom so tremendously interesting. Athletes also use it, as it is not banned as a doping agent. Athletes in the Asian cultural area have long used Cordyceps to increase energy and endurance.

In 1993, five world records in running events were broken by the same team at the Chinese National Championships in Beijing. Ma Junren, the coach of this team, revealed when asked by reporters that his female athletes owed their strength and endurance to the Cordyceps mushroom.

Effects of these mushrooms of interest to humans are documented in Chinese herbal books dating back as far as 2,000 years. Cordyceps species, especially C. sinensis and C. militaris, are said to serve to strengthen the life energy "Qi".

The genetic profile of our Cordyceps is exactly the same as that of wild Cordyceps and is cultivated under conditions found in its natural habitats.

Distribution and habitat in nature: It grows exclusively on caterpillars of the genus Thitarodes in the highlands of Tibet between 3,000 and 5,000 m.
