Fermented Skate (Ray) Cod Liver Oil - not just for Omega-3 fatty acids!

In the past, fermented cod liver oil was an exceptionally highly valued food in many cultures to strengthen body and mind. It contains EPA and DHA, the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K in their full spectrum, and numerous enzymes and quinones. Because fermented cod liver oil is a natural product, the nutrients can be optimally absorbed by the body.

Fermented skate liver oil from Green Pasture is produced in a traditional way with modern quality control. Skate livers are fermented for up to 6 months without heating. A true slow food. Each batch is then tested for purity.

Fermented Skate Liver Oil Gel at a Glance

Ingredients: Fermented cod liver oil from skate (fish), orange oil*, lemon oil*, clove oil* (* means USDA certified)

Content: 180 ml (equivalent to 90 servings)

Recommended Intake: 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml)

Storage: Cool and dark.

Allergy Information: Contains fish. The product is manufactured in a facility that also processes shellfish, dairy, fish, soy, and tree nuts.

What are the small crystals in my cod liver oil?

The crystals are harmless – they form when the oil warms to room temperature and then slowly cools to below 5°C (e.g. during transport).

To dissolve the crystals again, you can let the oil warm to room temperature, possibly in a water bath, until it liquefies. Then place it in the refrigerator, and there should be no more crystals at the next intake.

Why fermented cod liver oil is good

Today, many foods are less nutrient-rich than they were 30 years ago. Our soils are depleted, and vegetables and animals are expected to grow quickly. Fermented cod liver oil is very nutrient-rich and thus makes an important contribution to optimal nutrient supply.
