Butter Oil (capsules) - Green Pasture

X-Factor Gold High Vitamin Butter Oil by Green Pasture contains what Dr. Weston A. Price called "Activator X". He gave it this name because he was convinced it played an essential role in activating the immune system and allowing the body to harness other vitamins like A and D.

He therefore prescribed his patients fermented cod liver oil and butter oil in combination. Today, we know that Activator X is vitamin K2-MK4. Chris Masterjohn wrote an excellent article on the subject over at the Weston A. Price Foundation website.

Butter oil is not the same as ghee or clarified butter. Ghee is made by heating butter and separating the butter fat from milk proteins. Green Pasture butter oil is made by centrifuging milk without heating it. Also, milk is exclusively from grass-fed cows. Milk from grass-fed cows is richer in vitamin K2-MK4 than milk from non-grass-fed cows.

What's good about high vitamin butter oil

Butter oil contains lots of vitamin K2-MK4 - and it's tasty! Vitamin K2-MK4 is available only from animal sources or artificially produced. We think natural is better.
