More info

Wakame, also known as winged kelp, is a mild, slightly sweet brown algae. Our European Wakame comes from the species Alaria esculenta, which grows wild in the cold, clear waters of the North Atlantic. It is closely related to the more well-known Japanese Wakame, which is traditionally used in miso soups or seaweed salads.

If you have ever dined at a Japanese restaurant, you may have spotted Wakame salad on the menu – made with sesame, sesame oil, and soy sauce. This is also possible with our European Wakame: a simple, delicious dish.

Knaller!
