Sea lettuce, also known as sea cabbage, is a bright green seaweed of the species Ulva lactuca. It grows along the coasts of the North Atlantic and is particularly versatile in the kitchen.
Sea lettuce is excellent for sautéing – whether in a pan or a wok. Crispy fried, it resembles chips and makes for a flavorful, salty snack. It also pairs well as a side dish with vegetables or in Asian-inspired dishes.
Origin: North Atlantic, wild harvested
Production: Air-dried (raw food)
Ingredients: Sea lettuce (Ulva lactuca)
Allergens: Seaweeds contain no allergens. However, since this is a natural product, it may contain traces of mollusks, crustaceans, or sand.
Storage: Cool and dry
Warning: Seaweeds are naturally rich in iodine. Excessive intake of iodine can lead to thyroid dysfunction. Daily intake should be adjusted to individual needs.
Among the various types of seaweeds we offer, some are regularly tested for heavy metals.
