Atlantic Kombu from Irish wild harvest.
Scientifically, it is referred to as Laminaria digitata. Kombu is also commonly known as kelp. It should be noted that "kelp" is a general term for various brown algae. Kombu is the most well-known of the different kelp algae.
Our Kombu comes from wild harvest and is hand-harvested on the beautiful coasts of northwest Ireland.
Kombu is a classic choice for broths, soups, and stews. Basically, anything cooked with water. :-)
However, Kombu can also be soaked, cut into pieces, seasoned with spices, and then enjoyed as a salad.
Origin: Ireland, from wild harvest

Ingredients: Atlantic Kombu (Laminaria digitata)
Allergens: Seaweed contains no allergens. However, as it is a natural product, traces of mollusks, crustaceans, or sand may be present.
Storage: Cool and dry
Warning: Algae are naturally rich in iodine. Excessive intake of iodine can lead to thyroid dysfunction. Daily intake must be adjusted to personal needs. Please soak in water before use and change the water several times.
